The legend of Spring Festival

In ancient China, there was a beast called "Nian". "Nian" is extremely ferocious. It lives deep on the bottom of the sea all year round. Only on a specific day does it climb ashore to devour livestock and harm people. Therefore, every New Year's Eve, people flee to the mountains to avoid the harm of "Nian". One New Year's Eve, an old man came begging from outside the village. There was a scene of rush and panic in the countryside, and no one paid him any attention. Only the old woman gave him some food and advised him to go up the mountain quickly to avoid the "year". The old man lifted up his beard and said with a smile: "If my mother-in-law lets me stay at home all night, I will definitely 'Nian' is driven away." This custom spreads widely and has become the most solemn traditional festival among Chinese people.

The origin of the Spring Festival

The "Spring Festival" originated from the activities of worshiping gods and ancestors at the beginning and end of the Yin and Shang Dynasties in China, commonly known as "December Festival".
