Part 4: The role of bacteria in the carbon dioxide cycle

Bacteria are the organisms with the widest distribution and the largest number of individuals in nature. They are the main participants in the material cycle of nature.

In the material cycle in nature, bacteria and fungi decompose animal and plant remains into carbon dioxide, water and inorganic salts. These substances can be absorbed and utilized by plants to produce organic matter.
