Yellow Emperor
Huangdi is the title of the legendary ancient emperor Xuanyuan. His surname was Gongsun. He was born in the hills of Xuanyuan, so he was called the Xuanyuan family.
Huang Di and Chi You fought in Zhuolu, captured Chi You and executed him. The princes respected him as the Son of Heaven, replacing Yan Emperor and becoming the common master of the world. Because of his native virtue, he was called the Yellow Emperor.
It is said that the Yellow Emperor invented and made many things, such as writing, music, calendars, palaces, boats and carriages, clothes and compasses. People concentrated on him various advantages and creations of the ancients. He led Chinese civilization to develop from barbarism to civilization, thus worshiping him as the ancestor of humanities.
Emperor Yan
According to legend, the leader of the ancient tribe named Jiang. They were named Kuilian clan, Lianshan clan, or Lieshan clan or Lishan clan. It is said that Emperor Yan is the Shennong family and was born when Shaodian married Youqiao family. Originally living in the Jiangshui (i.e. Qishui) basin, they later developed eastward into the Central Plains. They fought with the Yellow Emperor in the wilderness of Banquan (now southeast of Zhuolu, Hebei) and were defeated, so they formed an alliance with their tribe. Later generations referred to Yan and Huang as the common ancestors of the Chinese nation.

Activity theme: How to view ancient legends
Activity background: At the end of primitive society, because writing was not yet mature, people could only record historical events through oral transmission. As time goes by, people tend to subjectively transform historical stories. In this way, ancient legends were formed. In the past, legends were considered untrustworthy. Later, with the progress of archaeological excavations, people discovered that these legends have a certain historical basis. So people began to pay attention to the study of legends.
Activity arrangement: Organize your own extracurricular activity group to collect folklore and related archaeological discoveries, and explore the differences and connections between the two. Through discussion, find the basic principles and methods for interpreting legends.
