"Agrarian Revolution and Three Major Battles" The Victory of the Chinese Revolution PPT
Part One: Economic Collapse in Kuomintang-controlled Areas
Inspired by the national righteousness of "resisting Japan and saving the nation" during the eight-year War of Resistance, the Chinese people gritted their teeth and persevered and never gave up. Coupled with the strong assistance from the United States, the Republic of China regime did not fall into collapse, but was much better off than in the early days of the War of Resistance.
However, on September 27, 1945, the Ministry of Finance of the National Government announced the "Measures for the Exchange of Banknotes of the Pseudo Central Savings Bank", which rigidly set the exchange rate between legal currency and fake Central Savings Bank Notes at 1:200, which was far higher than the actual purchasing power. The ratio is 1:35, which means that the assets of the occupied people have shrunk by 82.5% overnight, which is tantamount to a large-scale looting of the people's property in the occupied areas. For a time, public dissatisfaction boiled, and slogans were circulated among the people: "Think of the central government, hope for the central government, and suffer even more disaster when the central government comes!"
think:
(1) Based on the above information, what kind of economic problems do you think the people in the Kuomintang-controlled areas were facing at that time?
Prices are soaring, people are living in poverty, factories are closing down, unemployment is severe, and the economy is in recession... The economy is in a state of collapse.
(2) If you lived in the Kuomintang-controlled area at that time and faced inflation, what would you think?
(3) Based on the above information, can you summarize what kind of crisis the Kuomintang-controlled areas are facing?
Politically isolated and helpless, economically facing collapse, social problems are prominent...
Agrarian Revolution and Three Major Battles PPT, Part 2: Land Reform in the Liberated Areas
In stark contrast to the Kuomintang-controlled areas, the Communist Party carried out land reform in the liberated areas, and the liberated areas were prosperous.
Land reform:
Promulgated document: "Outline of China's Land Law" (1947.10.10)
Content: Abolish the feudal and semi-feudal land system, implement the land system of land to the tiller, and uniformly and equally distribute land according to the entire rural population, regardless of men, women, old and young.
Purpose: Completely eliminate the feudal exploitation system and implement land to the tiller
Impact: By the end of 1948, more than 100 million landless and landless farmers in the liberated areas had been allocated land, stimulating farmers' enthusiasm for revolution and production. The peasants who stood up enthusiastically joined the army and war to support the front line.
Comparative analysis of the social appearance of Kuomintang-controlled areas and liberated areas. What are the differences? How would this affect the war?
The darkness and corruption in the Kuomintang-controlled areas are in sharp contrast to the thriving development of the liberated areas. Due to the anti-people civil war launched by the Kuomintang, coupled with the economic exploitation and corrupt rule of the people, the reputation of the National Government plummeted. The Communist Party represents the vital interests of the people and has adopted a series of correct decisions that are beneficial to the people, such as land reform, enabling the Communist Party to win the widespread support and trust of the people. This provides a steady stream of manpower and material support to achieve national victory.
