Due to the uniqueness of news text, its main information sources are generally located in titles, introductions, and interspersed background introductions. By grasping these key paragraphs or words, you can find the required information and prepare for screening.

3. Pick the gold from the sand and filter out important information.

After finding the information interval that meets the requirements, the next step is "screening", which is a key step.

Two ways to filter information:

(1) Understanding screening: distinguish information in information sources and distinguish important information, secondary information and redundant information. On this basis, according to certain standards, we can eliminate the rough and select the essential, discard the minor and retain the important, and screen out important information.

Judgment criteria for different information:

Important information → Sentences that carry important information about the entire text. Such as news titles, introductions, background introductions, etc.

Secondary information → A sentence that carries secondary information and occupies a secondary position. Such as explanation, explanation, narrative supplement, etc.

Redundant information → After deletion, it will not affect the expression of information content, some sentences carrying redundant information.

(2) Search-based screening: quickly select relevant language materials according to certain requirements. This screening is related to reading speed and reading attention. When answering questions, you can read the text over and over again.

Sorting angle: Integrating information

Integrating information refers to classifying, recombining, roughly summarizing, seeking common ground while reserving differences, and integrating effective information based on the conditions proposed by the test questions.
