"Moonlight over the Lotus Pond" PPT teaching courseware

Part One: Importing Text

In the history of modern Chinese literature, there is a writer who is unyielding. Mao Zedong said in "Farewell, Leighton Stuart" that he "was seriously ill and would rather starve to death than receive relief food from the United States" and "exhibited the heroic spirit of our nation." He is Zhu Ziqing, a master prose writer, poet, scholar, and democracy fighter who wrote famous works such as "Back" and "Green". Today we study another of his famous prose works, "Moonlight over the Lotus Pond".

Moonlight in the Lotus Pond PPT, Part 2: Introduction to the Author

Zhu Ziqing (1898-1948), whose original name was Zihua, also had the courtesy name Peixian and the nickname Qiushi. His ancestral home is Shaoxing, Zhejiang, and he was born in Donghai, Jiangsu in 1898. In 1903, he settled in Yangzhou with his family, so he called himself "I am from Yangzhou".

He received a traditional education from a scholar-bureaucrat family when he was young. In 1916, he was admitted to the preparatory class of Peking University. The following year, he changed his name to "Ziqing" and entered the philosophy department. After graduating in 1920, he taught in middle schools in Jiangsu and Zhejiang areas and was extremely popular. In 1925, he was appointed professor of the Chinese Department of Tsinghua University. From 1931 to 1932, he studied linguistics and English literature in London, England. After returning to China, he still served as a professor and director of the Chinese Department of Tsinghua University. He died of illness in Beijing in August 1948.

Author of "The Complete Works of Zhu Ziqing". Representative works: long poem "Destruction", poetry collection "Traces", essay collection "Back", etc.

Zhu Ziqing and his family have lived in many places since settling in Yangzhou in 1903. He first lived on Tianningmen Street, and later moved to Mituo Lane, Nanpishi Street, Dongguan Street, Renfeng Lane, etc. The former residence at No. 27 Anle Lane is now preserved. The picture shows the entrance of the former residence.

Lotus pond moonlight PPT, the third part: overall grasp

1. Students mention the content of each natural paragraph

Paragraph 1: When, where and why I visited the lotus pond alone. (Mood: "Quite not peaceful")

Section 2 The path leading to the lotus pond, trees and moonlight.

Paragraph 3: The feeling when walking on the path.

Section 4 The beautiful scenery of the lotus pond.

Paragraph 5 The flowing moonlight, the moonlight in the pond.

Paragraph 6 The scenery around the lotus pond. (observed and felt under the moon)

Paragraph 7 reminds you of the old custom of picking lotus in the south of the Yangtze River in ancient times.

Paragraph 8 Walking home in homesickness and reverie.

2. Synthesis and induction.

From the perspective of describing scenery, paragraphs 4-6 are obviously the main content of the article and should be classified as a part. The first three paragraphs describe the reasons for the night appreciation. The 7th and 8th paragraphs are written from reality and imagined old customs in ancient times, and then a sudden change (returning to the home) ends the whole story.

With this analysis, the full text can be divided into three parts:

The first part (paragraphs 1-3) writes "The Origin of Viewing Lotus" (love)

The second part (paragraphs 4-6) writes "Moonlight over the Lotus Pond" (scenery)

The third part (paragraphs 7-8) writes "Revelation under the Moon" (love)

Lotus Pond Moonlight PPT, Part 4: Problem Exploration

1. How do you understand "I have been quite uneasy these days"?

It is generally believed that this sentence is "wenyan" which sets the emotional tone of the whole text. The so-called "literary eye" is a summary of the experience in prose creation in my country. The ancients said, "The point of revealing the full text may be at the beginning, middle, or end of the film." Prose has an "eye", so that the artistic conception will have reality and reality, and the theme will be looming. The first sentence, "My heart is quite uneasy," is a "fragment of words" that "sets up a short sentence to serve as a warning for an article." The next three sentences naturally break the topic from there, pointing out "lotus pond" and "moonlight". . Because "I felt quite uneasy", I thought of the lotus pond and went to the lotus pond at night. This "literary eye" is placed at the beginning of the film, like the final word, setting the lyrical tone for the entire text.

As for the reason for Zhu Ziqing's "unquiet" mood, some people think it stems from the resentment against Chiang Kai-shek's April 12 counter-revolutionary coup; others think it stems from the author's homesickness, because at the end the author said, "This makes me miss Jiangnan after all"; Some people think that it stems from the author's depression and hesitation as a petty bourgeois intellectual facing a crossroads in life; some even believe that Zhu Ziqing's "unrest" stems from the disharmony of family life, based on some historical data; so etc.

There is no need to prescribe a single authoritative answer to this question. And precisely because of this, "Moonlight over the Lotus Pond" will become a long-read hazy poem. Every reader in the past, today and in the future will read the same poem "Moonlight over the Lotus Pond" due to factors such as age, experience, and the era in which they live. Read out your own piece of moonlight over a lotus pond in "Moonlight".

2. "I am alone on the road, walking with my hands behind my back... This is the beauty of being alone"? This paragraph puts aside the description of the scene, and the sentences are all about inner activities. Does writing this way deviate from the center of the article?

①Expressing the sense of freedom of being alone under the moon is the self-regulation of "quite uneasy mood". Putting aside the description of the scene and expressing his feelings directly also reflects the author's painful state of mind - the disturbing thoughts cannot be suppressed and must be spoken out. Only when you are alone in a cold environment can you "feel like a free person". Doesn't this contain dissatisfaction with the dark reality?

② From the writing point of view, this paragraph seems to be a "free" lyric paragraph, but from the perspective of time and space, this paragraph is synchronized with the second natural paragraph. In fact, this "emotion" is still inseparable from "scenery". If we are not walking alone on that extremely secluded road under the moon, how can we express the so-called "solitude" feeling?

3. How do you understand "I will just enjoy this boundless lotus fragrance and moonlight"?

① In terms of writing, this is a transitional sentence, which reminds the following to write about the moonlight in the lotus pond. What relationship it has with the second natural paragraph is easily overlooked. This sentence is a continuation of the text "Go to the lotus pond", and the second and third paragraphs are integrated into one (proving again that the third paragraph is not a "free" paragraph).

② This sentence has an emotional change, and the author does not fall into the quagmire of sadness and cannot extricate himself. He wants to pursue beauty to comfort himself, which reflects his dissatisfaction with reality and his fantasy of transcending reality.

Lotus Pond Moonlight PPT, Part 5: Artistic Expression Techniques

1. Synaesthesia

Synesthesia is a special kind of rhetoric. Synaesthesia is a rhetorical method that communicates people's various senses (vision, hearing, smell, taste, touch) through metaphors or adjectives. Synaesthesia is transference. example:

(1) She smiles very sweetly. (Vision turns to taste)

(2) The person is beautiful and the song is sweet. (Hearing turns to taste)

(3) The breeze passed by, bringing wisps of fragrance, like the faint singing from a tall building in the distance. (Smell changes to hearing)

(4) The moonlight in the pond is not uniform; but the light and shadow have a harmonious melody, like the famous music played on the Buddhist bell. (Visual to auditory)

2. The use of repeated words

Far and near

high high low low

It depicts the trees in a well-proportioned manner, which is both open and three-dimensional, and the language is plain and natural.

heavy

Yin Yin

vaguely

It vividly describes the characteristics of the scenery in a specific environment, not only describing the number of trees, but also enhancing the thick atmosphere of the night.

The use of overlapping words not only vividly describes the characteristics of things, but also echoes the "luxuriant" trees and "gloomy" paths in the second paragraph, which makes the reading rhythmic and full of musical beauty.

3. Characteristics of landscape description

First, blend the emotions into the scenery and blend the scenes. The author skillfully integrates his feelings at this time into the description of the objects in front of him, achieving the effect of blending the scenes.

Second, focus on the combination of static and dynamic to make the lotus pond "alive". Moreover, the scenery described by the author is all "moving", and "stillness" is just the momentary expression of movement. Movement and stillness set off each other, showing their different beauty.

Third, grasp the combination of virtuality and reality to write the charm of prose. The scenery described by the author through imagination and association is characterized by "virtuality". The description of the objective characteristics of the objects in front of you is "real"

Lotus Pond Moonlight PPT, Part Six: Expansion and Extension

Comments on Zhu Ziqing's prose:

"His works established a pure and simple fresh style from the beginning." - Li Guangtian

Zhu Ziqing's prose can still be full of that kind of poetic flavor... With the perseverance of a Jiangbei person, he can write as beautiful as the scenery in the south of the Yangtze River... ——Yu Dafu

His writing is like his person, his elegance comes from his simplicity, his humor comes from his loyalty, and his plumpness comes from his plainness. ——Yang Zhensheng

Zhu Wen's mood is gentle, the rhythm is slow, the writing is light, and there are few magnificent, fiery, tragic, and extraordinary realms. Therefore, while chewing, there is always a taste of middle-aged people. ——Yu Guangzhong
