Introduction to Tianshan

Tianshan: A large mountain system in central Asia, running across central Xinjiang and extending into Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan at its western end, with a total length of 2,500 kilometers and a width of 250 to 300 kilometers. The average altitude is about 5,000 meters. The highest peak, Tomur Peak, is 7,435.3 meters above sea level. The peak is covered with snow.
