"Jiangnan Spring" PPT courseware
Jiangnan is a place with beautiful mountains and clear waters and outstanding people. It is a place beautified by literati and poets. It is a paradise in the minds of people throughout the ages.
Du Mu
(803 AD - about 852 AD), courtesy name Muzhi, nicknamed Fanchuan Jushi, Han nationality, a native of Jingzhao Wannian (now Xi'an, Shaanxi), a poet of the Tang Dynasty
Du Mu was called "Xiao Du" to distinguish him from Du Fu. Together with Li Shangyin, he was also called "Little Li Du". Because he lived in Fanchuan Villa in South Chang'an in his later years, he was later called "Du Fanchuan" and wrote "Collected Works of Fanchuan".
Jiang Nanchun
【Tang Dynasty】Du Mu
Thousands of miles away, the oriole cries, the green reflects the red,
Shuicun Shanguo wine flag style.
Four hundred and eighty temples in the Southern Dynasties,
How many buildings are in the mist and rain.
Think about it:
What scenery is described in the poem?
What thoughts and feelings does the author express?
The poem describes the orioles, green, red, water, villages, mountains, wine flags, temples and towers.
It expresses the poet's praise and fascination for the scenery in Jiangnan
From the first two sentences, the orioles are chirping, the red and green contrast with each other, and the wine flags are waving. It should be a scene of sunny days, but the last two sentences clearly mention misty rain. What's going on? Contradictory?
Not contradictory
This is because within a thousand miles, the clouds and sunshine vary from place to place, which is completely understandable. However, what needs to be seen is that the poet used typical techniques to grasp the characteristics of Jiangnan scenery.
"There are four hundred and eighty temples in the Southern Dynasties, and there are so many towers in the mist and rain." How does this sentence make you feel?
The splendid Buddhist temple with numerous buildings originally gave people a sense of depth, but now the poet deliberately made it appear and hide in the misty mist and rain, which added a hazy and confusing color.
Such pictures and tones, in contrast to the bright and gorgeous "orioles singing thousands of miles away, reflecting the red green, and the wind of wine flags in the mountains and rivers of water", make this "Jiangnan Spring" picture even more colorful.
The poet lived in the late Tang Dynasty, which was already showing a trend of decline, with constant wars and people living in dire straits. However, the rulers of the current dynasty followed the example of the Southern Dynasties and built Buddhist temples at all costs, hoping to pray for the blessings of the gods and keep the country stable forever.
Homework
