Have you ever been to a science museum?

Have you ever visited the space museum?

Ever means "ever" and is used in questions or negative sentences between the auxiliary verb and the past participle.

e.g.

Have you ever been to Hong Kong?

Have you ever been to Hong Kong? I haven’t ever spoken to her.

I have never spoken to her.

Never means "never" and is often used with before, usually between the auxiliary verb and the past participle.

e.g. I have never traveled by plane before. I have never traveled by plane before.

have been to & have gone to difference

He has been to Beijing.

He has been to Beijing. (The person has left Beijing,)

He has gone to Beijing.

He has already gone to Beijing. (I have left, to Beijing, and am not here)

He has been in Beijing for three years.

He has been in Beijing for three years. (I am still in Beijing.)
