The difference between present perfect tense and simple past tense

I had dinner an hour ago. (indicating past actions)

Distinguish between present perfect tense (has/have done) and present perfect continuous tense (has/have been doing)

The present perfect tense has a negative structure, while the present perfect continuous tense does not have a negative structure.

The present perfect tense can express the period of completion and existing experience, but the present perfect continuous tense cannot.

The present perfect tense emphasizes the impact on the present. The present perfect continuous emphasizes the past process (its impact on the present).
