In sentences in the simple present tense, the verb be has three forms: am, is, and are.

[Note] The verb be cannot be abbreviated in the following situations:

(1) In affirmative short answers, such as "Yes, I am." or "Yes, he/she/it is."

(2)this and is are not abbreviated.

(3) am and not are not abbreviated.

4. Various sentence patterns of the simple present tense of the verb be

Affirmative sentence: subject + am/is/are + other.

Negative: Subject + am/is/are + not + others.

General questions: Am/Is/Are+subject+others?

Affirmative answer: Yes, subject + am/is/are.

Negative answer: No, subject + am/is/are + not.

2. Personal pronouns

Personal pronouns are pronouns used to refer to people or things. Personal pronouns have both singular and plural forms.
