(1) Plasma

1. Ingredients: A large amount of water (about 91% to 92%), protein (about 7%), glucose (about 0.1%), inorganic salts (about 0.9%), metabolic waste, etc.

2. Function: Carrying blood cells, transporting nutrients and metabolic waste.

3. Serum: plasma without fibrinogen.

(2) White blood cells (P28)

2. Morphological and structural characteristics:

There is a nucleus, often divided into leaves, and some white blood cells can perform deformation movements.

(3) Platelets (P28)

1. Morphological characteristics: irregular shape, smaller than red blood cells and white blood cells, no nucleus.

3. Function: Hemostasis and coagulation

Hemostasis: gathers in wounds and blocks blood vessels.

Coagulation: Release of procoagulant substances that turn soluble fibrinogen into insoluble fibrin.

[Note] Plasma that does not contain fibrinogen is called serum!

There is a difference between blood, plasma and serum!
