1. Transformation of capitalist industry and commerce

The property of capitalism and bureaucratic capitalism has been confiscated, but the national bourgeoisie has made a great contribution in the process of revolution. The property confiscation is obviously unfair, but if it is not confiscated, they are still exploiting, which is obviously incompatible with the socialist means of production. Public ownership does not mesh.

(1) Time: 1954 onwards

(2) Method: public-private partnership. The public and private parties jointly operate the enterprise, with public representatives in a leadership position

(3) Innovation: In the process of transformation, the state implemented a redemption policy for the means of production owned by capitalists and achieved a peaceful transition, which was a pioneering work in China's socialist transformation.

(4) Result: In early 1956, the socialist transformation of capitalist industry and commerce saw a climax of public-private partnership in the entire industry.

What is a public-private partnership?

The so-called public-private partnership refers to my country's implementation of state monopoly capitalism on national capitalist industry and commerce. Public-private partnership in the entire industry means that the entire industry implements public-private partnership, the company's means of production are under the control of the state, and the capitalists receive fixed interest rates on the company's assets at a fixed interest rate. The annual interest rate is 5%, which means that the means of production of the exploiting class are nationalized at a cost. This redemption policy has achieved a peaceful transition and is a pioneering work in China's socialist transformation.

Two forms of public-private partnership

(1) Before the public-private partnership in the entire industry, profit distribution was implemented, which was "dividing the fat among the four horses". It was roughly that capitalists' dividends accounted for 20.5%, the state accounted for 34.5%, workers' welfare accounted for 15%, and provident funds accounted for 30%.

(2) After the public-private partnership in the entire industry, a fixed-interest system is adopted: within ten years, the state will issue dividends every year based on the private equity amount approved when the enterprise was jointly established, with an annual interest rate of 5%. This method reduces the bourgeoisie’s burden on socialist transformation. Resistance is conducive to turning the capitalist into a self-reliant worker and is conducive to the nationalization of the bourgeois means of production.

2. Completion of three major transformations

(1) Results: By the end of 1956, the country had basically completed the socialist transformation of agriculture, handicrafts, and capitalist industry and commerce, and realized the transformation from private ownership of the means of production to socialist public ownership.

(2) Significance: The basic socialist system was established in our country. This is the most profound social change in Chinese history. my country has since entered the primary stage of socialism

(3) Problem: In the later stage of the socialist transformation work, there are also shortcomings such as too hasty requirements, too rough work, and too fast changes.
