String Serenade in G major: Mozart completed it in Vienna on August 24, 1787, and regarded this piece as a model of instrumental serenade in the mid-eighteenth century. It is the most popular of the more than ten suite-type serenades written by Mozart. It originally had five movements, but the second movement was lost for some reason, so there are only four existing movements.
