"Flowing Water" is a very ancient and famous piano piece. According to legend, "High Mountains and Flowing Waters" was originally a piece of music. It was not until the Tang Dynasty that it was divided into two pieces: "High Mountain" and "Flowing Water".

It is recorded in "Lu Shi Chun Qiu" that Yu Boya was good at playing the guqin. His good friend Zhong Ziqi understood his piano very well.
