Wang Luobin's main contribution to Chinese folk songs

Wang Luobin collected, compiled and composed more than 1,000 songs throughout his life, and adapted and translated more than 700 folk songs from more than a dozen ethnic groups. He has published 8 song collections, 3 volumes of English songs, and 3 opera music compositions.

Wang Luobin is the first Han musician in modern China to compose Uyghur, Kazakh and other ethnic songs in Chinese. Known as the "Father of Folk Songs" in western China.
