1. Composition of household circuits

Main switch structure:

The installation principle of the main switch: the power cord is connected to the static contact. The static contact must be on top and must not be installed upside down. Otherwise, the disconnected blade may fall down and close automatically, causing an accident.

4. Connection of electrical appliances to neutral and live wires

(1) All electrical appliances (sockets) are connected in parallel in the circuit.

(2) The switch that controls the electrical appliance must be connected between the live wire and the electrical appliance.

2. The function of fuse

① Function: When the current in the circuit is too large, the fuse blows and automatically cuts off the circuit to protect it.

② Material: Made of lead-antimony alloy with high resistivity and low melting point.

③ Note: Choose a fuse of appropriate specifications. Do not use copper wire or iron wire instead.

Working principle: When there is too much current passing through the circuit, more heat is generated on the fuse, causing its temperature to reach the melting point and melt, automatically cutting off the circuit and playing an insurance role.

Nowadays, the fuses in the circuits of newly built residential buildings generally use air switches. The air switch is installed behind the electric energy meter. When the current in the circuit is too large, the air switch automatically opens and cuts off the circuit, commonly known as tripping.
