Autumn Starry Sky Song

On an autumn night, the Big Dipper rests on the horizon, and the five stars of the Fairy Queen rise in the sky.

Constellations in the sky

In order to facilitate observation and study of the starry sky, people divided the starry sky into many areas, and these areas became constellations. The whole day is divided into 88 constellations.

Cassiopeia is the most dazzling constellation in the autumn sky. The five bright stars in this constellation form an "M" or "W" shape, like a beautiful queen sitting on a throne. Ursa Major is the most prominent and important constellation in the northern sky. The seven bright stars in the Ursa Major constellation form the shape of a spoon. How to find constellations

"Pegasus in the sky, the Milky Way hanging sideways", this is a symbol of the autumn starry sky. To inspect the autumn starry sky, you can start from the "Autumn Quadrangle" (also known as the "Pegasus-Fairy Big Square") above your head. This quadrilateral is approximately a square, and when it is overhead, each of its four sides represents exactly one direction. The autumn quadrangle is made up of three stars in Pegasus and one bright star in Andromeda, which is very eye-catching. Extend the eastern edge of the quadrilateral toward the northern sky, passing through the constellation Cassiopeia, to find the Big Dipper. Extending this baseline southwards, you can find a bright star in the constellation Cetus. This long north-south line is almost at the equator. Remembering it is very convenient for estimating the positions of stars. Extend the western two lines of the quadrilateral toward the southern sky. Fomalhaut, the famous bright star in the autumn starry sky, can be found at low altitudes in the south. Extending along this baseline to the north, you can find the constellation Uranus.
