Distribution of rare animals in China

Giant Panda: Also known as Cat Bear. mammal. It is obese and looks like a bear. It is about 1.5 meters long and about 66 centimeters high at the shoulder. Alligator: Reptile. It is more than 2 meters long and has six horizontal rows of horny scales on its back. The back is dark brown with yellow spots and stripes; the belly is gray with small yellow spots and horizontal stripes; the tail has gray and black rings. The forelimbs have five fingers and are not webbed; the hind limbs have four fingers and are webbed. They live in burrows at the bottom of ponds and swamps, feeding on fish, frogs, small birds and rats, and hibernate in their burrows in winter. Distribution of rare plants in China

Baishanzu fir: There are only 3 remaining evergreen trees in the Pinaceae family, an endangered species, a national first-level protected plant, and an endemic species in China. Davidia involucrata: deciduous tree. It can grow to 20-25 meters tall and has broad ovate leaves with serrated edges. There are only two species of plants in one genus. They are similar except that one has hairy leaves and the other has smooth leaves. The flowers are strange and beautiful. They are relict plants left over from the Tertiary Period of the Cenozoic Era 10 million years ago. During the Quaternary Ice Age, Davidia involucrata became extinct in most areas. Only some areas in southern my country survived and became plants. The world’s “living fossil” today.

Protecting rare creatures is everyone’s responsibility
