Share your group’s design drawings with students from other groups.

Describe why the terrain is built the way it is;

Explain why the location of your home was chosen as you did;

Explain the rationale for choosing the materials needed to construct the terrain and house.

What will happen to our homes after the predicted heavy rain?

Reduce land erosion PPT, part 2: What impact does heavy rain have on our homes?

Fill a sprinkler with water to simulate a rainstorm and see if your home can withstand the rainstorm.

In an experiment, what conditions should remain the same for each group and why?

The amount and intensity of rainfall

Communicate and discuss our experimental results.

Has our home withstood the torrential rain? Where did the water go? Are our homes and terrain affected? Find evidence from experimental results.

Observation: Is the “runoff” turbid? What does this mean?

Compare the experimental results with our predictions. Are the results the same as the predictions? What didn't we think of?

What do our experimental results indicate?

If we redesigned and built our own homes, what improvements would we make to the terrain? Do we still build our houses where we originally chose them? Why? Where will we build the house?
