3. Impatiens is a dicotyledonous plant, and its seeds are composed of seed coat and embryo. The embryo consists of radicle, germ and cotyledons.

4. During the seed germination process, the role of cotyledons is to provide nutrients. The first pair of leaves of the plant are the cotyledons inside the seed.

Sowing method

1. Seed selection. Choose seeds that are plump and undamaged.

2. Put soil. Prepare the flower pot and soil, place a small tile on the water outlet of the flower pot, and then add an appropriate amount of soil.

3. Plant seeds. Use your fingers to make 2-3 small holes in the soil, about 1 cm deep. Place 1 impatiens seed in each small hole and cover it with soil.

4. Water. Pour enough water into the pot to moisten the soil and place it in a warm place.

If you want to see the germination process of seeds, you can do this:

1. Place a few layers of paper on the inner wall of a transparent glass, add some soil, and make the paper towel stick to the wall of the cup.

2. Place the impatiens seeds between the cup wall and the paper (place the seeds in different directions).

3. Pour an appropriate amount of water into the soil and do not let the seeds soak in the water.
