Silkworm eggs are generally stored in the refrigerator and placed at room temperature after being taken out. The most suitable temperature for incubation of silkworm eggs is about room temperature 25°C. The eggs will gradually turn purple-black and the larvae will hatch in about two weeks. After the larva bites open the egg shell, it first exposes its head and then crawls out of the egg shell.

The body color of the newly hatched silkworms is brown or dark brown. They are very small, about 2-3 mm long, and have many fine hairs. They look a bit like ants, so they are called ant silkworms. Tips on raising silkworms

Silkworms love to eat mulberry leaves. As soon as the eggs are hatched, use a brush or feather to gently brush them onto the mulberry leaves.

To keep the silkworms well fed, the mulberry leaves should be fresh and kept dry, cut into pieces or strips.

Frequently remove silkworm feces and leftover leaves to keep the silkworm "room" clean.

Place the baby silkworms in a well-ventilated area, and do not spray pesticides in the room where the silkworms are raised.
