The characteristics of goldfish I observed are as follows:

Has a head, chest, abdomen, and tail

Live in water and breathe with gills

The body has scales

Paddling with fins

What do these forms have to do with their lifestyle? How do goldfish breathe and eat?

Observe the activities of the goldfish and count how many times the gills open and close per minute? Will a goldfish's stomach become bloated if it keeps drinking water?

What do we see when we drop some red food coloring into a fish tank? What do these phenomena mean?

Think: What are the functions of fish’s gills and fins? What do scales do?

The gills of fish are the organs used for breathing

The fins of fish are organs of movement.

The scales protect the fish body and keep the fish's surface moist.

Observe goldfish feeding

Prepare some fish food or bread crumbs, gently put a few pellets in the fish tank, and observe how the goldfish eats the food.

There are many types of fish. Common fish include:

Black carp, grass carp, silver carp, bighead carp (four major species of fish), crucian carp, carp, goldfish, yellow croaker, hairtail, shark, grouper, etc.

Think about the similarities and differences between goldfish and ants?

Continue to observe the activities of goldfish after class to see how it defecates and moves.
