When connecting two co-ordinate subjects, the singular and plural forms of the predicate verb agree with the adjacent subjects.

When connecting two parallel subjects, use the plural form of the predicate verb.

Both you and he are wrong. Both you and he are wrong.

not only. . . but also. . . not only...but also...

When connecting two parallel subjects, the number of the predicate verb should be consistent with that of the adjacent subject.

Not only you but also I am wrong. Not only you are wrong, but also I am wrong.

either. . . or. . . or...or...

When used as the subject, the number of the predicate verb is consistent with that of the nearest subject.

Either you or he is wrong. Either you or he is wrong.
