Knowledge point 1

sb./sth. be always doing sth. someone/something always does something

The present continuous tense can be used to express the speaker's opinion of others or things, with strong emotional overtones, such as approval, boredom, dissatisfaction, etc.

eg: She is always laughing at others.

She always laughs at others. (bored)

Knowledge point 2

invent/ɪn'vent/ v. invention

eg: Who invented the electric light?

Who invented the electric light?

invention means "invention" and can be used as a countable noun;

Inventor means "inventor" and is a countable noun.

One word difference:

Edison, a famous inventor, invented many inventions during his life.

The famous inventor Edison created many inventions during his life.

Knowledge point 3

able /'eɪbl/ adj. able, able

eg: The child is not able to write yet.

This child can't write yet.

Able forms a phrase with the copula be, be able to "can", followed by the original form of the verb.

Discrimination: be able to and can

Bicycle means “two wheels”. The first bicycle was probably created in Germany in 1816. It was heavy and had wooden wheels. At first, the bicycle had two wheels but no pedals. People pushed it along with their feet. In 1838, a man in the U. K. invented pedals. The modern bicycle was invented in 1876 in England. By 1900, bicycles had tyres filled with air. Airfilled tyres made bicycles more comfortable to ride. Today's bicycles look the same as bicycles from the 1900s, but they are lighter. This is because they all have hollow frames.
