Indicates the ongoing action or state of being at the time of speaking or at the current stage.
2. Sentence structure (take do as an example)
Affirmative
Subject + be(am/is/are) + v.ing + others. For example:
He is doing his homework now. He is doing his homework now.
Negative Sentences
Subject+be(am/is/are)+not+v.ing+other. For example:
He isn't doing his homework now. He isn't doing his homework now.
General questions
Be(Am/Is/Are)+Subject+v.ing+Others? For example:

Special questions
Special question words + be(am/is/are) + subject + v.ing + others? For example:
What is he doing now? What is he doing now?
3. When to use the present continuous tense
(1) When the time adverbials now, these days, at the moment (now, now) appear in the sentence. For example:
Danny is watching TV in his room now.
Now Danny is in his room watching TV.
(2) When suggestive words such as look and listen appear in the sentence. For example:
Look! Tom is drawing a picture on the blackboard.

(3) Based on contextual prompts. For example:
