Of in the sentence indicates possessive case. A map of means "a map of...".

Example: a map of Jinan (a map of Jinan)

2. My friends Li Ming and Wang Mei live in China.

My friends Li Ming and Wang Mei live in China.

Live is an intransitive verb, "live, dwell". If it is followed by an object, an appropriate preposition must be added.

Example: I like to live in the country. I like to live in the country.

He lives happily. He lives happily.

3. They speak Chinese. They speak Chinese.

speak "to speak, speak" is an intransitive verb; but it is a transitive verb when it means "to speak a certain language".

Example: Can you speak French? Can you speak French?

She likes to speak to me. She likes to speak to me.
