The changing rules of verb -ing form:

1. Add -ing directly after the verb.

Example: go – going work – working read –reading

2. For verbs ending with a silent e, remove the e and add -ing.

Example: make – making write-writing

3. For verbs that end with a stressed closed syllable and have only one consonant at the end, double the consonant and add -ing. Example: run – running swim-swimming
