What are the advantages and disadvantages of sample surveys and censuses?

1. The census collects data by surveying the whole population. The results of the survey are accurate, but the census is often heavy workload and difficult, and some surveys should not use the census (destructive).

2. Sampling survey collects data by surveying samples. The workload of spot checks is small and easy to carry out. However, whether the sample is drawn appropriately is directly related to the accuracy of the overall estimate. In order to obtain more accurate survey results, attention should be paid to the representativeness and breadth of the selected samples when sampling.
