Fraction definition

If A and B both represent integers, and B contains letters, then A/B is called a fraction. A is called the numerator of the fraction, and B is the denominator of the fraction.

To determine whether an algebraic expression is a fraction, you need to pay attention to the following points:

1. The numerator and denominator of a fraction are both integers, and the fraction can be expressed as the quotient of dividing two integers. For example: m+n/m-n can be expressed as m+n÷m-n

2. The denominator of the fraction must contain letters, and the numerator may or may not contain letters.

2. Judgment is based on the form of the original algebraic expression, and the simplified result cannot be judged. For example: x²/2x is a fraction.

3. Note that π is a constant, not a letter.

Then x2 - 4=0

∴x = ±2

And x+2≠0 means x ≠ -2

∴x = 2
