Description
"Stone Beasts in the River" PPT courseware 2
Author and works introduction:
Ji Yun, also known as Xiaolan, was a famous scholar in the Qing Dynasty. He was humorous by nature. He served as the chief editor of Sikuquanshu and wrote "Notes of Yuewei Thatched Cottage" and so on.
"Yuewei Thatched Cottage Notes" is a classical Chinese note novel written by Ji Yun in his later years. The subject matter is mainly monsters, ghosts and foxes, but there are also descriptions of personal anecdotes, famous objects, allusions, etc. The content is quite extensive. The ancient and modern books are divided into four categories: Jing, Shi, Zi and Ji, collectively called "Sikuquanshu".
Nanyi Temple in Cangzhou is adjacent to the river stem. The mountain gate collapsed in the river, and the two stone beasts sank together. When he was more than ten years old, the monk raised money to rebuild the temple. He looked for two stone beasts in the water, but he couldn't find them. He thought they had gone down the river. He took several small boats and dragged iron palladium for more than ten miles, but there was no trace.
Explore the reasons:
The first type does not take into account the relationship between running water, stone animals, and sand.
The second method only considers running water, not stone animals or sand.
The third type considers the relationship between stone animals and sand and ignores running water.
The fourth type has both theory and practice, and accurately grasps the nature and interrelationship of the three.
Group collaborative exploration:
1. What mistakes did the temple monks and lecturers make when searching for stone beasts? Why was it that only Lao Hebing came up with the right solution?
2. The article mentions "laughing" twice. How do you understand its meaning?
summary:
The two stone beasts that fell into the water were neither carried downstream by the river nor sank into the river sand, but actually went upstream and reached the upstream several miles away. In concise language, the author narrates the process of people's search for stone beasts and their surprising ending, and realizes that "there are many things in the world that only know one, but not both," and cannot "make assumptions based on reason" " principle.
Expand and extend:
Do you know any other cases where you know one thing but don’t know the other but made subjective assumptions, resulting in making mistakes or making jokes? Share short stories like this with your classmates, and talk about what you gained after studying this text?
Operation:
1. Recite the text.
2. Complete the content of the exercise book for this lesson.
