Shi Tiesheng (1951-2010), born in Beijing, graduated from the Junior High School Affiliated to Tsinghua University in 1967. His representative works include "The Temple of Earth and Me", "My Distant Qingping Bay", "The Story of Queue Jumping", "Summer Rose", "Albizia Julibrissin Tree", "Life is Like a String", "Retreat Notes", etc. Among them, "Retreat Notes" and "Me and the Temple of Earth" were selected into the "Top Ten Attractions Works of the 1990s".
