Introduction to Mr. Wen Yiduo
Wen Yiduo (1899-1946), whose real name is Jiahua, is a famous poet, scholar and patriotic democratic fighter.
He was born in Xishui, Hubei Province in 1899 into a "prominent family and a scholarly family". During the May 4th Movement, he participated in the student movement while studying at Tsinghua University in Beijing.
In 1922, he went to the Academy of Fine Arts in Chicago to study, and later studied literature.
After returning to China in May 1925, he successively served as a professor at Qingdao University and Tsinghua University.
When the Anti-Japanese War began in 1937, he taught at the Southwest Associated University in Kunming.
After 1943, he became angry after witnessing the corruption of Chiang Kai-shek's reactionary government and actively participated in the struggle against dictatorship and for democracy.
Assassinated by secret agents on July 15, 1946.
