Named Zhou, a Mongolian native of the Song Dynasty.
He was a Qiyuan official, a philosopher and essayist during the Warring States Period.
Together with Laozi, he is a representative figure of the Taoist school and is known as Laozi and Zhuangzhuang in the world.
"Zhuangzi", one of the Taoist classics, has thirty-three chapters in total, including seven inner chapters, fifteen outer chapters, and eleven miscellaneous chapters. It is generally believed that the inner chapters were written by Zhuang Zhou himself, while the outer chapters and miscellaneous chapters were written by Zhuang Zhou's disciples.
