Description
"My Comrade Qiu Shaoyun" PPT courseware 6
Qiu Shaoyun
Born in Tongliang, Sichuan in 1931, he joined the Chinese People's Liberation Army in December 1949. In 1951, Qiu Shaoyun participated in the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea as a member of the Chinese People’s Volunteers. In October 1952, he accepted the task of seizing the "391" highland. In order to avoid exposing the target, he endured the severe pain of the fire and remained motionless until he died at the age of 21.
In June 1953, the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea posthumously awarded him the title of "Hero of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea", and also posthumously awarded him the Gold Star Medal and the First-Class National Flag Medal.

Lurking, disguised, burned, sacrificed
The sun gradually climbed up the mountain. I found that more than 60 meters in front of me was the enemy's forward position. Not only could I see the barbed wire and parapets, but I could also see bunkers and firepower points, and I could even hear the enemy's speech. The enemy is of course more likely to spot us from a higher position.
Experience "not moving at all" from the perspective of cause.
I looked at Qiu Shaoyun who was lying not far from me again. He was also fully camouflaged, hiding himself even better, so close that I could hardly find him.
Experience "not moving at all" from a performance perspective.
Thinking while reading
How did the fire burn Qiu Shaoyun? How did Qiu Shaoyun perform in the fire? How did "I" feel at that time? Please find the sentences that best express the characters' thoughts and feelings, read them several times, and share your feelings with your classmates.
My heart tightened. How could I bear this? I was worried that the young warrior would suddenly jump up or scream. I didn't dare to look towards him, and couldn't bear to watch my comrades being burned alive. But I couldn't help but look, hoping for some miracle—that the fire would suddenly go out. My heart felt like a knife, and tears blurred my eyes.
Understand the different meanings of the word "cai"
1. The fire burned on him for more than half an hour before it gradually extinguished.
2. Look at the time, it only takes twenty minutes from the time of charge to the end of the battle.
