About the Author

George Herbert Mead (1863-1931), American psychologist, was an American sociologist, social psychologist and founder of the philosophical symbolic interactionism. Mead was born in South Hadley, Massachusetts, USA on February 27, 1863. He studied at Harvard University and engaged in research under the guidance of W. James. In 1894, he entered the University of Chicago at the same time as J. Dewey. Influenced by the functionalist movement and early behaviorist theory, he set foot in the field of social sciences and studied self-theory. He was one of the most important self-theorists in the 20th century.

Sima Qian

Sima Qian (about 145 BC to 90 BC) died in 90 BC at the age of 56. Zi Zichang was a great historian, writer, and thinker in the Western Han Dynasty. His "Historical Records" was China's first biographical general history. Lu Xun called it "the swan song of historians and the unrhymed Li Sao."

Sima Qian began to read, organize historical materials, and prepare for writing after he was granted the title of Taishi Order in the third year of Yuanfeng (108 BC). By the fourth year of Taishi (91 BC), he basically completed all writing plans, a total of sixteen years.

This is a great work that will always shine with brilliance, which he spent his whole life writing with his whole life's energy, hard work, and enduring great physical and mental pain.

Read classic passages

1. Since ancient times, many celebrities have been keen on traveling, investigating, and exploring during their best teenage years. The peaks among the clouds, the vast deep forests, the promontory beaches, the waterfalls and the springs... they left their footprints everywhere.

Stop comma semicolon period

1. The pause is used to separate similar parallel things, usually single words, words or short sentences. The pauses in them are shorter than commas.

2. A comma indicates a pause in the middle of a sentence.

3. A semicolon indicates a pause between parallel clauses in a sentence.
