Introduction to Fang Zhimin
Fang Zhimin (1899-1935), a native of Yiyang County, Jiangxi Province, was one of my country's early revolutionary leaders, one of the founders of the Jiangxi Provincial Organization of the Communist Party of China, and the founder of the Northeastern Jiangxi Revolutionary Base and the Red Ten Army. On January 24, 1935, on his way north to fight against Japan, Comrade Fang Zhimin was arrested due to betrayal by a traitor. He was unyielding and refused to surrender. In the enemy's prison, Fang Zhimin used the pen and paper that the enemy asked him to write a "confession". Under extremely difficult conditions, he wrote the masterpieces "Poverty" and "Lovely China", which have become vivid teaching materials for educating future generations. .
