Confucian scholar, bibliographer, and litterateur of the Western Han Dynasty. Also known as "National Policy" and "State Affairs", it was compiled by Liu Xiang of the Han Dynasty, with a total of 33 chapters, divided into twelve policies: Eastern Zhou, Western Zhou, Qin, Qi, Chu, Zhao, Wei, Han, Song, Wei, and Zhongshan. overall perception
1. Zou Ji was associated with national political affairs from a trivial family matter. What is this family affair?
Zou Ji asked his wife, concubines and guests who was more beautiful, between him and Mr. Xu.
2. Due to differences in feelings and status, wives, concubines, and guests have different tone of voice when answering questions. What is the difference? Please find and describe the emotional tone of the original text.
His wife said: "You are so beautiful, how can Mr. Xu be as good as you!" The emotional tone was heartfelt praise, and the tone was unquestionable. The concubine said: "How can Mr. Xu be as good as you!" The emotional tone was to please, but the tone was a bit forced. The guest said: "Xu Gong is not as beautiful as the king." His emotional tone was polite and respectful, and his tone was a bit polite.
3. What is Zou Ji’s attitude when faced with compliments of varying degrees, true or false, from his wife, concubines, and guests?
In the face of praise, Zou Ji did not get carried away. "Tomorrow, Mr. Xu will come. Whoever looks at him thinks he is inferior; when he looks into the mirror, he thinks he is not as good as he is far away. When I go to bed at night, I think about it and say: 'My wife's beauty in me is selfish; my concubine's beauty in me is also afraid of me. "The guest who loves me wants to ask for something from me.'" This shows that Zou Ji is very self-aware.
collaborative inquiry
1. What kinds of "ratios" can the "three ratios" in the article be understood as?
Contrast: Contrast small family affairs with major national affairs. See the big things from the small things, and the big truths are contained in the small things. Analogy: Zou Ji and King Qi are both human beings. Both of them have high status. Both of them have been deceived. They form a comparison of like. Zou Ji’s personal experience is easier for King Qi to accept.
Hidden metaphors: wives, concubines, and guests are metaphors for palace wives, ministers of the court, and within the four borders; small household metaphors are for a country.
The image is concrete, real and natural.
2. In the "Three Competitions", who did Zou Ji think was responsible for King Qi being deceived?
Zou Ji believed that the responsibility for the deception of the King of Qi lay with the palace ladies, ministers of the court, and those within the four realms. The fundamental reason for the deception lay with the authority of the King of Qi. In this way, while the King of Qi was proud of his high position and power, he happily accepted his advice, which was very tactful.
3. What kind of person is Zou Ji? How can we tell?
He is calm-minded and good at thinking, which can be seen from his "Three Thinkings" after "Three Questions";
Seeking truth from facts and understanding the situation can be seen from his "three comparisons" after "thinking twice";
Loyal to his duties and resourceful, this can be seen from his thinking of family affairs and state affairs and his use of "three comparisons";
He is good at rhetoric and has the courage to give advice, which can be seen from his thinking of family affairs and state affairs and his use of "three comparisons".
