Description
"Night Tour of Chengtian Temple" PPT courseware 6
Su Shi (1037-1101), also known as Zizhan, also known as Hezhong, also known as Dongpo Jushi, was a native of Meishan, Sichuan and one of the Eight Great Masters of the Tang and Song Dynasties. He was born into an aristocratic landowner family and received a good family education since he was a child. He was educated at the age of seven and passed down essays at the age of ten. He was a literary and romantic man throughout his life.
Su Shi lived in an era when "new laws" were flourishing and reforms were flourishing. Because he opposed Wang Anshi's "new law", he was transferred out of Beijing. In the second year of Yuanfeng of Emperor Shenzong (1079), he was arrested and imprisoned because the imperial censors Li Ding, He Zhengchen and others said that he wrote poems that satirized the "new law". This was the famous "Wutai Poetry Case" (Wutai, referring to the Yushifu at that time). After being released from prison, he was demoted to the deputy envoy of Huangzhou Tuanlian.
After that, he was demoted several times. It was not until Song Huizong took over and granted amnesty to the world that he got the opportunity to move inland. However, he died of illness in Changzhou at the age of 66. After his death, he was given the posthumous title "Wen Zhonggong".
Research and discussion
1. Why does the author want to visit the temple at night?
Because the moonlight was so beautiful, I went to the temple to look for Zhang Huaimin and enjoy the moonlight together.
2. How does the author describe the moonlight?
Using his unique imagination, he used two novel metaphors. The moonlight is as clear as accumulated water, and the bamboos and cypresses are like algae and cattails.
3. What are the characteristics of this moonlit night picture painted by the author? How does it make people feel?
4. Which sentences in the text express the author's emotions?
5. What emotion does the author’s emotion show in the concluding sentence of the article?
The understanding of this sentence must take into account the author's environment at the time. "Leisure" is relative to "busy". Since he was demoted and relegated to a new home, he was naturally not as busy with official duties as when he was in the capital. The word "leisure" contains the author's many emotions, including the sadness of being relegated, the loneliness of frustration, the optimism of self-disposal, and the joy of enjoying the moon in leisure, which allows us to see the author's unrestrained life and optimistic philosophy of life. Because of this, the moonlit night described by the author is so ethereal and bright. The author's pursuit of beauty and love for life make the article infectious.
