Description
"Bee" PPT courseware 2
Introduction to the poet
Luo Yin (833-909), courtesy name Zhaojian, was born in Yuhang (now Zhejiang). Because he failed to pass the imperial examination ten times, he changed his name to Yin. Most of the poems satirize reality, mostly in spoken language, and some works are popular among the people.
Ask students to use the methods they have learned to read to themselves and think about:
①What is this poem about? Is there anything you don’t understand?
②What is Luo Yin praising the bees for?
Notes on the whole poem
Bees are occupied by bees wherever flowers bloom, whether they are on the ground or on the top of a mountain. After they collect all the flowers and turn them into honey, who are they busy with in the end? For whom are you brewing fragrant honey?
Read softly to yourself and think, where do bees collect honey?
Whether it is plain fields or high mountains, wherever flowers bloom, it is the territory of bees.
Ask the students to talk about what kind of feelings the author expresses in this poem? How does the author express this feeling?
By describing the hard work of bees and reflecting on its significance, the poet praises those workers who, like bees, have devoted their lives to benefiting mankind without seeking fame or fortune.
Summary of this lesson
Bees collect flowers and make honey throughout their lives, and they also contribute their whole life, not seeking fame or fortune, but benefiting mankind. These contributions of bees do not seek fame and fortune. The extensive collection and careful brewing of bees are also what students should have. Only in this way can we, like bees, brew sweet and delicious honey.
