Five short poems PPT, the third part: background information

"Moonlight Night" was written in 1917. At that time, China was in a semi-colonial and semi-feudal society, and its living environment was just like the "moonlight night" in winter described in the poem.

"Xiao Hong's Tombside Commemoration" is a mourning poem written by the modern poet Dai Wangshu in 1944. When he wrote this poem, China was in the middle of a war. In the war-torn environment, the poet walked for six hours to visit the grave of his deceased friend. . The poet suffered from the pain of war and his friends were buried underground. The use of metaphors and restrained irony make the poem more profound.

"Broken Chapter" was written in October 1935. It is an exquisite philosophical poem. According to the author Ziyun, these four lines were originally in a long poem, but he was satisfied with these four lines in the whole poem, so he extracted them into an independent chapter, hence the title.

The poem "Song of Wind and Rain" was probably written in the late 1930s. It was a turbulent era. As a Cantonese poet, Lu Di has lived in the South for a long time and should be very familiar with the strong winds and heavy rains in southern China. The concept of the poem "Wind and Rain" should have been very novel at the time. It combines the wind and rain of nature, society and the heart.

Five short poems PPT, the fifth part: analysis of poems

moon night

overall perception

This little poem depicts a picture of a moonlit night. Please describe this picture of a moonlit night in your own words.

The night scene is very beautiful, the wind is strong, and the moonlight at night is bright and shining. How poetic and picturesque!

The background was beautiful and I was neck and neck with the trees.

content exploration

"But there is no reliance" best expresses the theme of the poem. Please tell me your thoughts on this.

It shows the bleakness of the environment and the loneliness of the character. When faced with a difficult situation, the poet showed his strong independent character and fighting spirit - he stood side by side with the tall tree, rather than leaning against it.

Taste Appreciation

Appreciate the poem "The frost and snow are blowing, and the moonlight is shining brightly."

In this poem, the environment is desolate and the characters are lonely, which exactly reflects a social aspect of the "May Fourth" period - a certain social aspect of semi-colonial and semi-feudal China.

Exploring writing methods

1. The creation of artistic conception appears fresh and simple, implicit but not explicit. The four-line poem has a broad meaning, without even a word of preaching; and the main emotions and objective objects in the poem are integrated to create a complete picture and artistic atmosphere.

2. The use of line drawing makes the outstanding and independent image of "I" in the poem appear clearer, more vivid, expressive and charming in the "frost wind - bright moon" "blow - shine". In addition, the poem rhymes with the verbs "photo" and "lean", but at the end of each line it is appended with a soft suffix "zhu", making the tone euphemistic, the rhythm soothing and natural, and full of the beauty of prose.

Xiao Hong’s tomb

overall perception

What is the main content of this poem?

This poem is a mourning poem written by the modern poet Dai Wangshu in 1944, expressing the memory of the deceased friend. The poet walked for six hours to visit the grave of his deceased friend. He suffered from the pain of the war, and his friend was buried underground. The use of metaphors and restrained irony make the poem more profound.

content exploration

1. What does "kouzhao" mean?

"Kouzhan" shows that this poem was not deliberately written by the author, but a natural expression of emotional precipitation and literary literacy.

2. What do the words "six hours" and "long distance" in "walking a lonely long distance of six hours" mean respectively?

"Six hours" indicates the length of time, and "long distance" indicates the distance.

Taste Appreciation

Appreciate the poem "Put a bouquet of red camellia tea by your head."

This line brings a bright color to the poem. Xiao Hong loves flowers and often writes about various flowers in her works. Now sending a bouquet of bright camellias is the greatest consolation to the deceased. The poem describes a common but unusual ritual, revealing the innocent nostalgia and sorrow among the writers.

Exploring writing methods

1. The language is clean, simple, concise, as clear as words, yet rich in texture and full of hints, marking the completion of a new poetic language. The rhythm is tempered according to the ripples of the poet's inner emotions and appears to be very coordinated.

2. Through indirect expression, deep affection is revealed in silence and restraint. For example, the sentence "walking a lonely distance of six hours", through the description of walking for six hours to visit the grave of the deceased, hints at one person's deep yearning for another person in the plain narrative. At the same time, two precise details are used to particularly strengthen the emotional meaning. The first is the time details. There is no blood or family relationship between the poet and Xiao Hong. What connects them is just a friendship between writers. Therefore, it is very valuable for the poet to insist on walking for six hours to visit her grave.

Combined with this time in the autumn of 1944, when the whole of China was in war, in this war-torn environment, the poet walked silently for six hours to visit the grave, which became even more affectionate. This indirect expression is also reflected in the poet's use of metaphors. The poet uses the metaphor of "camellia" to vividly convey his praise and appreciation for Xiao Hong, which contains passion in delicacy, depth, moderation and euphemism.

3. Express the poet’s inner emotional twists and turns through clever contrasts. The "six hours of lonely distance" in the poem refers to a length in time and space. This poem contains a heavy and melancholy atmosphere, but the next sentence "Put a bunch of red camellia beside your head" is put down gently, showing the shortness and ease of action. In this One is long and the other is short, one is heavy and the other is light, revealing the loneliness the poet feels due to mourning, his deep yearning and solemn grief.

Out of context

overall perception

What is the main point of each section of this poem?

Section 1: Create an artistic conception with the "bridge" as the center. By transforming "you" and "landscape" into subject and object, the poet cleverly conveys his philosophical thinking on the integrity of the universe and life: in the universe and life, everything is "relative", but at the same time related to each other.

Section 2: Create an artistic conception with "night" as the center, showing that one or another relative relationship may occur between people and between things, whether consciously or unconsciously.

content exploration

1. In the poem, what is the relationship between people and “landscape”?

People are not only an integral part of the "landscape" (i.e. nature), but also an important part of the "landscape". With "people" in "landscape", "landscape" will be aura and more vivid.

2. How does poetry highlight "beauty"?

In the eyes of the "people upstairs", "you" are more beautiful than the "scenery"; in the eyes of the "people upstairs", "you" are brighter and more charming than the "bright moon". Although there is not a word "beautiful" in the whole poem, the image of "beautiful" emerges from the reader's imagination.

Taste Appreciation

1. What kind of picture does the poem "You stand on the bridge and look at the scenery" depict?

This is the first picture of the whole poem: "You" stand on the bridge and enjoy the scenery. But the "landscape" here is an empty frame structure, and readers can fill it in according to their own ideas. From the "bridge", they can imagine the flowing water under the bridge, the green bamboos on the river bank, swaying wild flowers, the melodious boat songs on the river, and the crispness in the forest. Birdsong, etc., the picture is bright, harmonious, quiet and clear.

2. What kind of picture does the poem "The people watching the scenery look at you upstairs" paint?

This is the second picture in the whole poem: the "viewer" is looking at "you" upstairs. Among the green bamboos and wild flowers, you are admiring this picturesque scenery, but there is a pair of eyes watching "you" from the window of the small building. "You" become the object of appreciation for "viewers", " "You" become someone else's scenery. On the surface, these two paintings seem to be unrelated to each other, but the two locations "on the bridge" and "upstairs" are connected when looking at the scenery.

3. What kind of picture does the poem "The bright moon decorates your windows" depict?

This is the third scene in the poem: on a quiet night, the moonlight flows in from the window like water, like a dream, and "your" heart is also enveloped in the full moonlight. Looking at the deep night sky through the "moon-decorated" window, the gossamer-like moonlight gives "you" a dreamlike tranquility and comfort.
