Concept interpretation

Differences between China and the West

1. The director should carefully read the script and related materials, deeply understand the theme of the script, make an overall design for the performance, communicate with the actors about their understanding of the characters, and help the actors continuously adjust and improve their performance on the stage. 2. Actors should recite their lines and become familiar with the relevant stage instructions. Enter the role through imagination and continuously deepen your understanding of the role you play. Refer to the performance videos of professional actors and imagine your movements, demeanor, tone, and intonation when performing. Listen to the director and other actors to improve your performance. You can use a rehearsal diary to record your own understanding, the process and experience of character creation.

3. The stage manager should refer to relevant information and prepare the costumes and props for the performance based on the actual situation (the scenery can be made into courseware or chalk drawings on the blackboard), the soundtrack, etc. Some scripts do not specify that the stage manager can design and sketch the sets themselves.

(2) Precautions for rehearsal

1. Facing the audience. When rehearsing, you should imagine the audience's position and adjust the actors' positions according to the audience's position. Make sure the actors face the audience!

2. Line proficiency. This is a very important item! The quality of a drama is based on the proficiency of the lines.

6. Actor voice control. It’s very simple! You must ensure that your voice can be heard by the audience, and at the same time, it should also be full of emotion!

7. Organizer. Any team should have an organizer so that the event can proceed smoothly. Every organizer should stay in touch with each actor.

8. Costumes and props. Appropriate costumes and props can add glory to you!
