Underwater World PPT, Part 2: Interpretation of the text

Understand paragraph 3:

Think about it. How many sentences are there in a paragraph? What does it tell us?

There are five sentences in total, telling us that there are sounds under the sea.

The third natural paragraph:

Is there no sound at all under the sea? no. Animals at the bottom of the sea are often whispering. When you listen with a hydrophone, you can hear various sounds: some buzz like bees, some chirp like birds, some bark like puppies, and some seem to be snoring... They It makes one sound when eating, another sound when walking, and an alarm when in danger.

(1) The first three sentences, think about what you know from these three sentences.

(2) Combine the sentences to understand "whether" and "whisper".

① How can you say this sentence by replacing "whether" with another word without changing the meaning of the original sentence?

② Read "whisper", say what it means, and then try to imitate whispering, and realize that "whispering" here is particularly vivid.

(3) Read the last two sentences and think about what you know from these two sentences?

(4) What kind of sounds are there under the sea?

(Four "Some are like..." sounds of eating, sounds of progress, sounding an alarm)

(5) Are these all the sounds under the sea? Where did you know that?

(6) After writing so many sounds in the text, ellipses are also used. How about the sounds at the bottom of the sea? (There are various sounds under the sea)

(7) What can we tell about the scenery of the seabed from so many sounds? (the scenery is strange)

Guidance: In this natural paragraph, the first three sentences tell us that there are sounds at the bottom of the sea, but we don’t know what the sounds are. This is written in summary; only after reading the last two sentences do we know what the sounds at the bottom of the sea are like. This is When writing specifically, summarize first and then be specific. This is how sentences are connected.

Connect with paragraphs 2 and 3 and think:

(1) What is the connection between the contents of these two paragraphs? How would you feel if you heard various sounds on the quiet sea floor?

(It makes students feel "there is sound in silence", which seems strange)

(2) Why is there such a strange scene on the seabed?

(The strange scene at the bottom of the sea is inseparable from the rich products)

Understand paragraphs 4, 5, and 6:

Study the 4th natural paragraph:

Read this paragraph softly and think about how many sentences there are in this paragraph and what is it about?

There are six sentences in total, talking about there are many animals on the seabed, and they move in different ways.
