What is "two bombs and one satellite"?
What is "two bombs and one satellite"?
Atomic bombs, missiles, satellites.
Atomic bombs are extremely destructive nuclear weapons. Our country is a peace-loving country. Why should we develop atomic bombs?
In 1945, the United States dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima, which accelerated the end of the world war and kicked off the nuclear race; the newly born People's Republic had just stood up from the ruins of the war, and the war had reached the Yalu River. MacArthur even threatened to A "nuclear radiation belt" was established on the border between China and North Korea...
China needs peace, but peace needs a shield.
The harsh reality forced the leaders of New China to consider developing its own atomic bomb.
Reasons why China developed the atomic bomb:
In order to break the imperialist nuclear monopoly, crush the imperialist nuclear threat, strengthen China's national defense strength, and defend the motherland, China must develop an atomic bomb.
The significance of the atomic bomb explosion and our country’s nuclear policy:
Significance: The successful explosion of the first atomic bomb strengthened our country's national defense strength, broke the imperialist nuclear monopoly, and was of great significance to maintaining world peace.
Nuclear policy: Our government solemnly declares that China will not be the first to use nuclear weapons at any time and under any circumstances, and will not use nuclear weapons against non-nuclear countries.
(1) On April 27, 1970, my country's first artificial earth satellite, "Dongfanghong 1", was successfully launched. The satellite weighed 173 kilograms and broadcast the music "Dongfanghong" at a frequency of 20.009 megacycles.
(2) In April 1984, our country successfully launched a test communication satellite. In February 1986, my country used the "Long March 3" carrier rocket to launch a practical communications and broadcast satellite into space. This communication satellite, which was developed and launched entirely by our own efforts, has been faithfully and reliably transmitting daily television programs to people across the country and serving the broadcasting communications industry for five consecutive years.
(3) Our country is one of the few countries in the world that has mastered satellite recovery technology and "multiple satellites with one arrow" technology. From 1970 to 1988, our country successfully launched 25 artificial earth satellites, 11 of which successfully returned to the ground as scheduled, becoming the third country after the United States and the Soviet Union to master satellite recovery technology. On September 20, 1981, my country launched three satellites (space physics exploration satellites) with one launch vehicle for the first time, becoming the fourth country after the Soviet Union, the United States, and France to master the "multiple satellites with one rocket" technology. These show that China has reached the world's advanced level in aerospace technology and launch vehicle technology.
collaborative inquiry
What does the successful development of two bombs and one satellite mean to our country? What impact does it have internationally?
"Two bombs and one satellite" have seized the commanding heights of science and technology, enhanced our country's scientific and technological strength and national defense strength, and established our country's important position on the international stage. As Comrade Deng Xiaoping pointed out, "If China had not had atomic bombs, hydrogen bombs, or launched satellites since the 1960s, China would not be called a major country with important influence and would not have the international status it does now. These things reflect the capabilities of a nation. It is also a symbol of the prosperity of a nation and a country.”
