Let us learn about the vast Tibetan Plateau together.

The Tibetan people's diet mainly includes: tsampa, meat, butter tea, and highland barley wine

Tsampa is a common staple food in farming and pastoral areas. It is made by grinding fried highland barley into flour, also known as "fried noodles".

Meat includes beef, mutton, and occasionally hunted wild animals. Cooked beef and mutton, also known as "hand meat". When eating, you hold a knife in one hand and grab the meat with the other, so it is called "grabbing meat with one hand".

Butter tea: It is a favorite drink among Tibetans and the best drink for entertaining guests.

Highland barley wine: It is brewed from highland barley after fermentation. In Tibet, men, women, old and young all drink this wine. Tibetan people brew a large amount of highland barley wine before the festival.

Tibetan festivals

Starting from the tenth day of the sixth lunar month every year, tourists from all over the place come here on horseback, by car or on foot, bringing cooking utensils and tents.

At the rally, people not only enjoyed the scenery of Huanglong Temple, but also held Tibetan opera performances and duets; the young warriors also performed wrestling, archery and other activities. June 15th is the climax of the festival, with people singing and dancing all night long.

Flower Viewing Festival: It is called "Ruo Mu Bird" in Tibetan, which means mountain viewing. It is held every year on the 18th day of the sixth lunar month. It usually takes place in each village, and they go to their tents to play together. Each event can take up to three people. Four days, up to ten days. During the Flower Viewing Festival, people offer khatas to guests who come to play, and warmly welcome them into their rooms and treat them hospitably. At night, men, women and children, hand in hand, dance gracefully around the bonfire to the accompaniment of bells played by the leader of the dance team, singing and dancing all night long.

Entering Tibet

"Into Tibet" is the theme song of the TV series "Kong Fansen". The song depicts the mysterious and vast scene of Tibet. The song is divided into two parts, the first part is slower and freer. During the second part of the interlude, the tempo increases. The distinctive rhythm, ups and downs of the melody, and the loud singing are all rich in the charm of the plateau, showing today's prosperous Tibet, as if seeing the Tibetan people dancing rough dances during the festival. In this song, accompaniment and singing play a very important role, enriching the expressiveness of the song and highlighting the style and customs of Tibetan songs.
