2. Test pen

Function: Identify the live and neutral wires in household circuits.

Usage: Touch the metal body at the end of the pen with your hand, and the tip of the pen touches the wire (or a conductor connected to the wire). If the neon tube lights up, it means it is touching the live wire; if the neon tube does not light up, it means it is touching the neutral wire.
