Compass story

The compass is one of China's four great inventions. Around the end of the Warring States Period, the Chinese had discovered magnets and their ability to attract iron products. In the early years of the Eastern Han Dynasty, it was discovered that magnets could point north and south, so they began to use them as guide tools. The ancient Chinese tool for indicating directions is called "Sinan", which consists of a spoon made of magnets and a smooth and rotatable disk. When in use, let the spoon rotate on the plate.
