Description
"Observe the living world around you with a microscope (3)" Tiny World PPT download
Part One: Exploring New Knowledge
(1) Collecting and cultivating microorganisms
There are a large number of microorganisms living in the water of fish tanks, ponds, and creeks, and they are the main places for collecting microorganisms.
Using hay to cultivate microorganisms
Take some water from a pond or fish tank and pour it into a beaker filled with hay. After a few days, you will find mold spots on the water. These mold spots are formed by bacteria that are invisible to the naked eye. Many single-celled organisms and other microorganisms in the bottle use this as food to reproduce in large numbers.
(2) Preparing slide specimens
Precautions:
If the microorganisms move quickly and are difficult to observe, we can first put a small amount of absorbent cotton fiber on the slide, then drop a drop of pond water on it, and cover it with a cover slip. You can also use absorbent paper on the edge of the coverslip to absorb excess water to control the movement of microorganisms.
(3) Observing microorganisms
When observing, place the slide specimen on the stage of the microscope, observe with a low-power lens first, and then switch to a high-power lens if necessary.
Paramecium lives in stagnant fresh water containing a lot of organic matter. It is a small protozoa. The front end of the paramecium's body is blunt, the rear end is pointed, and the middle and rear parts are wider, shaped like an inverted straw sandal.
The body of Paramecium is composed of only one cell and is a unicellular individual. It moves freely in the water by the swing of its cilia. The cilia in the mouth groove of the paramecium keep swinging, allowing food in the water to enter the cells and form food bubbles.
(4) Are they living things?
Living things generally have six major characteristics:
1. Have a common material basis and structural basis;
2. All have metabolic effects;
3. Will respond to external stimuli;
4. All have growth, development and reproduction phenomena;
5. All have the characteristics of inheritance, variation and evolution;
6. They all adapt to a certain environment and can also affect the environment.
Use a microscope to observe the living world around you PPT, part 2: expansion and extension
The cell wall is the outermost layer of plant cells and is a transparent thin wall. It is mainly composed of cellulose and pectin, and has large pores through which material molecules can pass freely. The cell wall supports and protects the cells.
The cell membrane protects the interior of the cell and supports and controls the entry and exit of substances. Inside the nucleus there are genetic materials - ribonucleic acid and deoxyribonucleic acid. Vacuoles play an important role in regulating cell osmotic pressure and maintaining the expansion state of cells.
Class summary
Microorganisms come in a variety of forms, have special structures and functions to adapt to their surrounding environment, and they have the same characteristics as other organisms.
