1. 25-year-old Computer Engineer
Murdered (title)
25-year-old is used as an adjective and can be followed by a noun
25 years old is a noun phrase. When the preceding numeral is greater than 1, year needs to be in plural form.

2. He was last seen leaving his office in New Town at about 7 p.m. (Para. 1)

Sensory verbs such as watch, hear, and notice are all used in this way.
