Description
"Three Views of Objects" PPT Courseware 2
Before workers process the parts, they must first look at the drawings of the parts. But drawing a space object on a plane is not a simple matter, because it must be drawn clearly from all sides. In order to solve this problem, we created: Three-view method.
What is the three-view method?
It is to look at an object from three different directions, usually from the front, top and side, and then draw three pictures of what you see, that is, views.
This converts an object into a flat graphic. For example, as shown below:
The figure seen from the front is called the front view;
The figure seen from above is called a top view;
A figure seen from the side is called a side view.
How to draw three views of an object?
In three views, the top view is drawn below the main view, and the left view is drawn to the right of the main view.
First draw two mutually perpendicular auxiliary coordinate axes. Draw the main view in the second quadrant; draw a top view in the third quadrant according to the principle of "aligning the heights of the main and lower pictures"; drawing the top view in the third quadrant according to the principle of "aligning the heights of the main and left pictures" and "aligning the heights of the left and downward pictures". According to the principle of "equal width", draw the left view in the first quadrant.
